I'm seriously considering an LE, as they look to be a tremendous value for their prices. Namely I'm looking at the Heritage line, i.e:

I too am curious about this brand, I have looked at some of their pieces, kind of thought they had some nice looking stuff, shrugged and moved on... No one on WUS seems to post about this brand, so it flies under the radar until I seem some of their stuff again and the process repeats.

Frederique Constant is clearly a brand on the rise, so if you are also looking at FC I would strongly consider that.

I had an Erard a bit earlier on and I enjoyed it. The only thing I disliked was that the crown was on the small side so wasn't the easiest to wind. Aside from that, the fit/finish/quality were acceptable relative to what I paid, imo. I have no direct experience with RW or FC but if I had to choose based on what I do know, it would probably be something from FC. Not a lot of info, sorry, but hope it helps somewhat . . . .

So I'm guessing it would be a good "first" for one entering the world of mechanical watches?
