    Opinions

I was curious if others fell the same way as I. Longines has introduced the new Conquest 24 hr with ETA Valgranges A07-171 movement. To me the placement of the date window seems out of balance. If they had stayed with the ETA 2893 it seems to me the watch would have better balance. I doctored the photo (windows paint) to indicate this. Rough rendering I know.

You are so right! The window is too far out. Maybe Longines are planning on a size increase of this model soon? To something like 47mm?

Meh, I kinda like where they placed it. Unique without slapping you in the face with it. Everyone should have a white-dial watch on white metal bracelet in the collection, this one makes a pretty good argument to be that watch.

I don't have the specs in front of me, but I bet this is already a pretty sizeable watch - aren't all the valgranges movements big in the linge category?

I don't mind the date window so much as the pathetic WR rating for such a thick watch.

With the white and silver going on it doesn't stand out in an awkward way to me.

41mm case. The movement is 36.6mm.

The weird bit is the design of the date wheel. It is very wide, with the numbers on the outside. It is fairly easy to move the date in a few mm's.

Its a bit boring for my taste, and in keeping with what others have said, the date looks like an after though.

    Good Luck!

Unless I'm mistaken, it's got 300M water resistance, which is standard for a diver. How is that pathetic..?

According to Longines the WR is actually 5 bar (50m).
