    Opinions on Rue du Rhone?

    I saw a few ads for it last week. Went to their website and it says that it was launched by Raymond Weil's two grandsons. Is it a good quality brand?

    Looks like it's another brand that come and go like weeds.

    Hard to say, since it's only been in existence less than 6 months. Looks like semi-fashion watches at reasonable prices, sold in department stores. Ask again in a couple of years?

    Too many watches, only two wrists and never enough time...

    I'm really 50/50 about buying one but find myself caught in this triangle;

    1. I've fallen in love with a design
    2. I hate the name and 88 logo, only consolation is I'm born in 88.
    3. I feel self conscious about wearing a watch that has no heritage or history.

    the watch is 88 Rue Du Rhone 87WA120045 for interest.

    88 sounds wrong when you know one of its meaning...

    Most people you meet won't know either, don't worry about it.

    Yeah, 77 Sunset Strip would have been much cooler.

    I can only start by saying, "do yourself the favour and stay away from this brand". I realise that this post response is to a 5 year old question. However time is the key element at debate here and this brand of watch has a price tag that is completely unjustified in the quality you recieve. If you want a fashion watch, buy a fashion watch. If you want a well made Swiss timepiece please keep looking. Poor quality and even poorer response to repair issues that have plagued the watch since purchase.

    CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!
