i think Orient make some great watches, the Ray and Mako have great build quality for the price point, the Disc also falls into the same point.
If you want to spend a little more the Orient Star range have some great pieces and reasonable price points as well

Yes. I have had several different Orients, and I still have three. There is really no way to put it other than they are fantastic, high quality watches for the price, and still would be at prices significantly higher. You can find a few negative reviews, as with anything, but there are volumes of accolades and positive reviews out there about the brand in general, and many different models. It is not just my opinion. I recommend Orient highly.

Good as in does it tell time? Why yes, yes they do.

I have an Orient Mako and for the $120 I paid for it on a bracelet, it is a hell of a deal and a hell of a watch at that price point with an in house movement.

The bracelet is very solid brushed steel. Only negative there is that the end links are hollow. The lume is great, 200m WR, mineral crystal. People complain about the bezel being hard to rotate, but you just have to break it in.

I only do one watch per brand so I only have first-hand experience with the Mako, but everyone that owns one seems to love it.
Damn it! Am I late again!?

Orient makes some very nice watches, and they're excellent value for the price. The Orient Star line in particular provides a value roughly comparable to the much-respected Seiko SARBs.

I have an Orient diver. The movement is pretty accurate. The bracelet's buckle is a little sharp, but the watch looks good and functions well. IMHO

Guess it depends on what you value to be considered good. Many say you get what you pay for with Orient, or any brand for that matter. I've had 4 different Orient's and all were good to me factoring the prices. You can get some solid models on bracelets with sapphire crystals that hack and wind for not as much money as one would think.

Orient divers are solid. Although the bracelet can be a tad clunky

Orient makes good, inexpensive watches. Comparable to Seiko, dollar for dollar.
