ORIS Atelier Date - Your opinion?

Hello, I’m a new member at WUS but have been a watch enthusiast for many years. Looking at my current collection, I prefer automatic watches without too many complications - simple and elegant. I recently found a really good price ($600 USD new) for a dressy ORIS piece. With the metal bracelet, do you think this piece is okay to wear with more casual wear? I work in a more relaxed business setting, so it would also be part of my work rotation.

Does anyone have experience with dressier ORIS watches? I know many members post mainly about their divers. My apologies in advance, I don’t know if this should be in the ORIS subsection instead.

I’m located in Japan so that’s why the photos are from a Japanese site.

I have an Artelier with a silver dial and really like it. I work in a business casual environment and it is a regular in my rotation. I wear it on a leather strap, so I think that dresses it down some. I speak as an Oris fan, but I think it's a great choice for the money. Good luck!

"Affordable" just means you end up spending the same amount of money, but end up with a greater number of watches. -MandoBear

Dress up, dress down, can't go wrong. I'd wear it with cutoffs to the beach or to the board meeting (hopefully without the cutoffs). Can't beat the price either.

I had a silver dialed Oris Artix that is very similar to the Artelier. Though on the dressy side you could pull off wearing it in casual situations too. Nice looking watch.

I have a somewhat dressy TT1 (non-diving bezel, blue dial) and love it--Oris makes a great watch for the money, if you like the style (and obviously I do)--you can't go wrong.

I owned the same watch with a silver dial for about the same price. Nice watch, versatile, and worth the gray price.

Thanks for your responses guys. Might pull the trigger later in the week. By the way, the lug width is marked as 20 and 20.5 on other sites. What size of straps do you fit on to this beauty?

I had the silver dial one. Nice watch for the right price but i prefer the Artix. In this case i would say $600 is pretty good. Oris retail pricing is a complete joke.
