    Panerai or Omega

    Hello all,
This is my first post and I need wisdom of collective mind. I'm torn between two watches(have not seen the Panerai yet , but I always wanted Panerai ) Panerai Pam 01028 with blue dial and Omega Globemaster blue dial steel and rose gold. Which one would you choose and why.

The Panerai---simpler cleaner dial. While I like Omega--not that one--the angular dial, the two (gold/steel) clash with the blue dial, the fluted bezel--don't even like the gold star above the date window.

    I'm leaning towards the Panerai.

If your wrist can manage the size and heft of the Panerai, go for it.

Otherwise, the Omega is very dressy and looks out of place if you're wearing it with shorts and flip flops.

Same as above usually fanboy Omega, but Panerai gets the nod this time up!

Neither are my taste. Never liked the bulky crown cover on the Panerai but can't say I love the two tone copper and blue. The real question is what do you like?

I have the Panerai 688 (GMT version, blue dial). It's stunning.

I have the same sentiment; if you can pull off the size, the Panerai is more versatile for various occasions. A beautiful watch for sure. Also, is rose gold timeless? Remains to be seen.
