Parents giving a couple of old watches to me...

Hello! I just thought I would share a couple of pieces that my dad just gave me.

This watch was given to my grand aunt, but I think the strap was broken so she sent it back and we sent her another Bulova (back in the eighties). I believe my parents only bought her Bulova watches. It's cool to me because it is the only watch that I wind up every morning...when I remember.

Now this next watch has a cool (or horror) story. My Dad got it from a relative who happens to be a jeweler. You'll notice that the "2" is missing from the dial. This was because the relative needed gold and tried to melt it down. I don't now if that experiment worked or not. But my dad saved the rest of the watch by buying it off of him. It has "Lancaster, PA
Dudley Watch Company" carved on it. I've been doing some research about it on the internet. I just have to find a place here that can service it.

(Sorry about the quality of the pics. I just have a regular digi cam, and no real photo skills.O| )

    Thanks for taking a look.

    Hi -

The pocket watch is a Masonic watch: take a look at the watchworks and you can see all sorts of masonic tools integrated directly into the watchworks.

PS: Shame about the #2: this isn't going to be easy to replace.

PPS: We also have a vintage forum here, please visit us for any other questions!

Thanks JohnF! I was wondering how my Dad's relative got their hands on a Masonic watch.
