Patton watches - what do you think?

    Hi all,
Earlier today I was walking in Avignon, and passing in front of a jewelry some watches caught my attention. I got closer and they were Pattons, never heard of that before, found almost nothing here on WUS.
do you know this brand? I didn't have time to go try some on but through the window they looked well made.
I just check the site, they're essentially expensive quartz watches, made from sailing I guess, but they're intriguing me.
Anyone is familiar with this brand?

Looks like a cheap maritime oriented Graham style watch to me.

I just had a quick luck on their website, and I have only 1 word for them. Well, actually 2 words: INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED! 1800 euros for a basic 3 hander with an ''Automatic swiss made'' movement (quote from the website)??? What a joke...

Well, my reference is common sense... You have the highest post count of any member I've seen, so I don't know if you are jocking or not. But 1800 euros for a no-name brand, with a generic ETA movement (probably an 2824 Elabore at best, remember the ''Automatic swiss made''?) seems ridiculous. With this kind of money you could easily get a Ball or a Sin (or even a pre-owned Omega), and IMHO, those are far better watches.
But don't let me rain on your parade. If you think this is a fair price, by all means buy one and then share your impressions with the community

    Cheers,

Way overpriced. The somewhat unusual aspect is the water resistance; I'll grant, that ups the price. But compare to Seiko...nominally JDM Brightz or Dolce, which have radio sync and solar, for considerably less. And that's staying in quartz. 1000 euros does open the door to plenty of autos.

These watches do seem to be fitting into a relatively small niche...and that niche, from what I've seen, is largely filled by fairly high-end mechanicals, that may well be substantively more. Doesn't make these reasonable.

I don't really like them. The name Patton makes me think of the WW2 general, not sailing. And they do appear to be overpriced. Even if they were cheap, I would pass due to the styling.

Extremely overpriced! Anyone else think the hands are too short?
