Now before I start I'd like to point out that I'm not vindictive in nature or have any affiliation with any watch company and only post this so others don't make the same mistake as I did.
In July 2015 I was looking for a classic looking chronograph that didn't break the bank. After having a look in the usual places I decided to give kickstarter a look. I quickly found a project entitles 'Dayhatch II by Philip Ashton'. The watch looked great all the spiel seemed like it was from a pair of genuine watch enthusiasts.
A few hours later I had purchased one. Un-boxing was done with excitement, a leather NATO was threaded with joy and so began 7 months of wearing the watch 2-3 times a week.....then the problems started. The minute hand reaching the 11 position and stopping and the chronograph mechanism grinding to a halt.
I contacted Philip Ashton with confidence.
Their reply ''battery'' (after 8 months?),
my reply ''but the mechanism isn't right, can i send it in for you to have a look at?''
Silence for 11 days. I reminded them of this on their various social media accounts
''we don't do refunds''
my reply ''ok, but it still doesn't work. could I send it in the get sorted or a 70% refund because its not BNIB?''
Silence for 16 days now.
It's clear they have no intention of any after sales care and I would urge everyone to stay well clear of the 'company' and the individuals running the show. Thanks for reading and please bear this in mind.
