    Philippe Dufour

I am very new to "watches" and horology in general. The more I read about these subjects the more interested I get. The more I read about Philippe Dufour, the more I like him.

Could someone please explain to me why he is considered "great"?

What other "great" watchmaker's should I read about?

    Thank you.

You have to look at overall aesthetic and design choices not only finishing. He is an artist watchmaker.

What made you hesitate? What were they going for back then?

Smith's stuff is truly mind blowing. Richard Mille and FP Journe are much more mainstream, but both are legendary modern watchmakers themselves.
    Collection:
    Vacheron Constantin Overseas
    JLC Deep Sea Chrono
    Breguet Marine Grande Date
    Tudor Black Bay Black
    Omega Speedmaster 3570.50
