    Phillip Stein sleep tech

I was on a cruise last week and was looking at Phillip Stein watches and bracelets. All very nice pieces, but they claim to have sleep technology built in the watches and bracelets. I am skeptical to say the least, but if it works my wife is interested. What does everyone think or know about this. Diamonds International offered us a sleep bracelet and a nice mens watch for $510, but we were not sure.

Read some Amazon reviews. Some say it works, some say it doesn't. I wonder if those that say it works are shills for Phillip Stein, and some are people who are experiencing placebo effect. But I think nothing wrong with placebo effect if it works. Sounds like the price might be a bit steep. If there's a money-back guarantee, maybe worth a try?

Same as copper bracelets....All in a sick, distorted, weak mind.

I talked to a lady who was wearing a PS watch and the battery was dead. She said that it worked to make her sleep, that part does not take power to work.

    Re: Phillip Stein sleep tech

I can't comment on what magical properties the watch might have, but I did swap batteries in one for someone last year:

Here is the inside of the case back - I was trying to see if there was an indication of what the inserts in the case back are made of, but you could not see much:

What I can tell you is that as just a watch, these are certainly nothing special in any way:

The movements in these things are very basic to put it nicely. Now there's more to a watch than just a movement, but I nearly fell over when I looked up how much these watches cost. For a lark I looked up the Miyota 5Y30 movement at my local parts supplier - they cost about $7.46 each...

I checked the function of each movement, put new cells in, closed it up, pressure tested it, and gave it back...I didn't have the heart to tell them what was inside.

I would spend my money elsewhere.

    Cheers, Al

The wolf shirt on amazon works much better. Also sleeping with my rolex calms me more than sleeping with an omega.
