    Piaget Piece Inherited:HELP PLEASE!!!

Inherited a piece from my great grandpa. All I know is a Piaget, possibly a Polo, not in the greatest condition. Guessing from the 70's or 80's.

Not too familiar with watches so any knowledge on the piece would be appreciated.

I'm not at all confirming that's fake, and I'd be HAPPY to be proved wrong, but I came across an almost identical looking Piaget in a pawnbrokers in Melbourne, it was really lightweight and turned out to be fake (I was able to pop the caseback off in the store). Can you take a photo of the back of the watch?

If it's not fake (I doubt), I wish that Piaget had never done it

    Faux Piaget Edition

Like others have stated, unfortunately for you, it's not a Piaget. Piaget never made a spandex band.
Before you think about buying a watch winder from Wolf Designs ask me why you should not.

I have to stop saying, " How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

The more I look into it the more I think its faux as well. The circular date doesn't match up with pictures as well as the band. Kind of bummed but I do appreciate it you all.

    A couple more notes :

-- That's a common, cheap, after-market Speidel brand band. It would not be original to an expensive Piaget, and I can't imagine someone putting a band like that on one.
-- The caseback is steel, which means the rest of the watch case is at best gold plated steel (rather than solid gold)

Both of those would also point to it likely being a fake (though I don't know Piaget's history much).
