Picked up an Ebel watch from Movado Outlet, questions

Highly impulsive purchase. I've had a weakness for automatic chronographs and always wanted one, and I knew Ebel was a pretty solid brand though I don't know that much about it. Pricing seemed pretty decent ($1400), so I just pulled the trigger. Here are a couple of pics (sorry they could be better). Any info on this watch would be appreciated.

One thing that I am wondering about after seeing some images online is that these watches all seem to be COSC certified and say so on the dial, but mine does not. Any idea why this might be? This is concerning me a bit.

I would not worry too much about COSC certification. Does it keep good time? Is it accurate? If so, great. It is a nice looking chronograph!

Nice watch and that's a great price, congrats! I wouldn't have thought there would be any of those models left. I don't know about the COSC thing but it has an excellent calibre 137 that should run beautifully.

Thanks guys. I guess my concern with the COSC thing is, I don't really care if a watch is COSC certified or not. In this instance what's worrying me is since this is obviously NOS, I wonder if there's any chance it could be a "Frankenwatch". A watch that was initially defective and returned, and for whatever reason Ebel puts on a new/different dial and then send it to the outlet to sell? It's just a bit weird to me as this seems to be a legit 137 movement and I can't find a single picture or example of a 137 equipped Ebel that does NOT have the "Chronometer Certified" designation on the dial. So kind of weird on that front.

Given that it was sourced from a Movado outlet I wouldn't be too concerned. That was a long running model and alot of small changes can occur over a long production run. Several different rotors for example, and that appears to have the later one. Maybe they dropped the COSC certification as the production run was coming to an end? It might be best to contact Ebel directly with your queries.

That's a great looking chronograph. Nifty movement as well. Congrats on your new Ebel!

I see someone has woken up Rdenney with this... Now it's just a matter of time. You shall be schooled on Ebel by the master himself soon I'm guessing.

That's a nice pick up. Afaik the caliber 137 is not COSC certified. Not that it matters.
