    PLANET OCEAN, Real or FAKE?

Saw this on ebay... Is it real or fake? Seems pretty cheap for a PO. The starting bid seems pretty low, equivalent to roughly a bit over $400.00.

    Here's the link.

Quality looks pretty dodgy in the photos, especially the bezel knurling and black inlay. It also appears to be missing the lume dot on the bezel top position? Even if it is real, it looks battered.

I don't think it's hoenst on the part of the seller to describe it as "in very good condition" and for that reason alone, I will avoid dealing with him.

And is that dust I see on the dial behind the crystal?

Fake. And yet again the box and paperwork magically disappear into the ether after only a few months ownership

Crappy photos- always worry me. If fake I've seen worse. But, Phillipine seller with a feedback of 3???? No way I'd take that chance- even with papers and box(which can be faked as well, but for $400 why bother).

Would need a lot more photos to decide.

If it's a fake, from what is shown it's a very good one. Correct bezel lume placement & markings, quarter hour lume lengths, Omega dial logo. The photos are still terrible quality and I would never buy a watch from an e-bay seller of that nature.

Looks fake to me. Comparing it to the one on my wrist right now (45.5mm), the case looks wrongly proportioned. The crown seems to sit in too low into the crown guards in the eBay photos. Mine protrudes a bit more.

And the strap doesn't look the same as mine. The holes in the strap are long and narrow. My strap holes are smaller. Maybe the seller has a different version. Seems fishy to me in any case.

    Here's mine:

Fake. Where is the 12:00 lume dot? It is also not centered in the triangle if it is there. It looks to have fallen out. - David

Seems strange that there was only one bid for this watch... Anyone would think that that if this was the real thing, there would have been many more bids, driving the price up.

The guy that won it is either really lucky (if it's real), or out $400.00 for a fake.
