Please recommend me a quality watch

    Hi,

My fiance wants to get me a watch as a wedding gift, for around about £500-700. I was originally thinking of getting a skeleton watch but the ones I like are generally far out of my budget, or cheap and not very good quality. Obviously with it being a wedding gift I want it to last, would prefer swiss but would consider others but I definately would like an exibition back. Dont mind secondhand/vintage aslong as the condition is good.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Cheers, Mark

Have a look at Raymond Weil, Tissot, and Longines.
    - IWC Classic Pilot's Mark XVI
    - Omega 300M Bond Seamaster Chronometer
    - Calibre de Cartier SS
    - Corum Admiral's Cup 41mm

A budget is a start but you will need to narrow it down more than that. Dress watch or diver, stainless steel bracelet or leather strap, automatic, quartz?

Have you seen anything that you do like as a starting point?

To narrow it, dress but not just a plain face. Prefer leather strap, automatic movement.

Heres an example of the type I like:

The Oris face I find a little too plain and the tissot looks like more of a sport watch.

Not sure on the square shape, I think I would really prefer a swiss make too.

Thanks, and sorry to be picky!

    1 Hamilton - Khaki
    2 Hamilton - American Classic

You should find something there. If you don't find anything amongst that little lot, I'd think about looking for a different wedding pressie...
