    POLL: TOO MANY BUMPS

IMO if your sales listing exceeds 10 bumps it should be automatically deleted....

    Re: POLL: TOO MANY BUMPS

    Why does it matter?

If a seller or WTB poster is bumping within the guidelines, those stating that you must wait at least 12 hours before a bump, it shows me they are staying atop the thread. What matters is join date - postings and the content of those postings as well as how they communicate if you reach out to them. The number of bumps on a sale thread means nothing to me as a user here.

I like when it gets bumped 262 times, and a good half of those bumps are comments defending the asking price. Gotta admire the resolve, if not the understanding of supply and demand.

I try to self regulate. If it's not moving the price is too high most likely. I price drop to reflect the market.

Setting a bump limit would help weed out those who were impatient and those who were asking an unrealistic price for a watch.

No need for that. But I would support a required 24 - 48 hour wait between bumps.

    Re: POLL: TOO MANY BUMPS

Some pieces have a limited market and the selling price might be fair but the right buyer hasn't come along. If its 20 bumps for an SKX007 at $400, then sure, but what about a rare piece which is priced appropriately with a tremendously small market? Are we going to hose those sellers? On top of that, what's to keep people from resisting the watch immediately after their first posting is deleted....? A new rule? The Mod team is already overloaded as is, and I can't really see anything like this being worth the effort. YMMV though.....
    Cheers,
    Mike
