Pontos Chrono: push me or pull me!

I either need a push over the edge or a pull back off of it.
So I fell in love with the looks of this Pontos (PT6288-SS001-130) several months ago.

I thought it was a pretty good deal for $1295 but I never pulled the trigger and the next thing I knew it was sold out.
I clicked the "notify me" button thinking it was probably gone forever but low and behold, I get an e-mail today and it's back in stock.
Still $1295 at the original place but I found it for $1199 on another site.

Do I need to buy this thing or what?
    Any good reasons not to?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

    I don't think I'm allowed to post links or name sites here...........so that's why I didn't.

I have also almost purchased this watch and I like the aesthetics very much. At that price, IMO, it makes it a no brainer if you like it and don't want to save for a more expensive one that you like as much.

Edit: It says on the site where it's $1295 it's available in 3-5 weeks. I'd call them first to check that out.

My understanding is that you think wrong - you ARE allowed to post links here. Anyway, I bet the cheapest you found is from Amazon - and, if you like the watch, I don't see any reason not to go for it, it's a fine-looking watch, and Valjoux 7750 is a proven movement.

I'm sure detractors will say that you can buy a 7750 chrono for $400, or however much lower, but that argument never made any sense to me. Someone who is enamored with looks of this particular Maurice Lacroix, wouldn't give a damn about the fact that some freakin' Victorinox can be had 3 times cheaper.

The bordering of the sub dials is not my cup of tea so I‘d easily pass on this ML.
    Kind regards

I like it, but like all 7750 chronos, it is a thick watch. I dont know if it wears tall though. I've told myself I would never buy another 7750 because of the thickness, and you can really feel the winding plate spin, which bugged me. If you have worn 7750s and that doesn't bother you, go for it. It's a handsome watch.

Very nice watch from a solid brand, and that's a good price for so much watch. Buy it.

You came to the wrong place if you wanted someone to pull you back. It's 99% enablers on here, so in that spirit if you like it and can afford it buy it.

"if you like it and don't want to save for a more expensive one that you like as much"...............Well you've gone right for the jugular haven't you!
Isn't that always part of the equation?

I missed the note about "3 to 5 weeks" but would probably buy from amzn anway for $100 less.

    Thanks for your comments.

    Thanks Stoner1974, I hear you!
I have a few watches with 7750s and I find that the size and shape of the case makes all the difference.
I have 2 Victorinox with 7750s and they both fit and feel fine on my wrist.
On the other hand, my Sinn 144 spins around my wrist which really annoys me.
And my Steinhart Racetimer is just so tall that it's hard to get under the cuff of a dress shirt.

    Decisions, decisions.
