    Porsche Design Watches

Hello, Im newish to watches as I started my obsession this year. Now I have quite a few from seiko, citizen, suunto, Lumtec and Sinn and Im still learning. The nicest watch I currently own is a Sinn U1 and Seiko SBBN033 with the domed hardlex and great lume.

I have seen that there are quite some nice designed Porsche Design watches and I have found a brand new one at a good price. But Im wondering if they are just over priced watched because of the fancy brand logo "Porsche Design" or are they actually good quality watches to own?

Im looking at a Chronograph Porsche Design P6360 flat six.

Any experience and recommendation are welcome.

i do like older designs and some new ones, but they are pricey and though they should be quality piece it up to you to decide do you like them.
    There is Momo Design.
It similar to Porsche Design in what they do, just more affordable

I've had a few of the current Eterna made ones, and one vintage IWC. The Eterna models are OK, but buy them pre-owned or on discount, not at the PD boutique. Its not unusual to find them for 20% of their retail price. The case work and bracelets are very good, the dial, hands movement are OK/par for the price.

Get to know your models available in PD stores. Note that the ones at the auto dealer/parts department, are PD "Drivers Selection" and are not at the same level. I think those are made in China.

Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Chronograph.

Thanks for the quick feedback, SO i was looking at this one. Apparenlty they used to be $5k. SO i would say that is heavily diso....ed.

They are actually quite well made and the design is very unique and "out there" with strong racing/sporting theme. They usually also run highly decorated movements that look fantastic even though its generic. A 7753/7750 execution on a PD is one of the best looking versions of that movement you are likely to see.

They take a really hard beating on the used market though, so make sure you either really like what you are getting or get it pre-owned. They also use a lot of proprietary strap integrations and hence do not allow for after market straps on majority of their designs thus requiring you to get a replacement directly from them which is very expensive and actually not that easy on some of the older models.

I really like the P6780. Its so nice, but the price is way too high. Second hand it goes for $4k and new they were like $10K.
So fro about $1100 would it be best to get a brand new PD P6360 or a second hand Tag Heuer?

Ditto on the earlier design PD watches, they're classic IMHO. I don't have the budget for them but I sort of scratched that itch with a Sinn 144.
