    Presidents' & Prime-ministers' watches

    Hi

Just seen a thread on Rolex forum showing Prime-minister Blair wearing a Sub!

Here's the question - What watch would YOU wear if you were PM or El presidente?

Me? - Probably a Breitling Emergency!

    Si

Tough choice. If I were buying, probably a Vacheron, Patek,
or TWC. (gotta get a US piece in here.)
If it's a "political donation" I'd wear the flavor of the day, as I'm
sure any Pres./P.M./Dictator/Grand Jeffe would. B-)
I had some of my watches listed, but then I just got embarrassed.
You know, like showing up at the party dressed as a male stripper and realizing you're the only person who didn't get the message that it was no longer a costume party.

Well, I though the president usually wears a Vulcain Cricket! At least they used to, ever since Truman got one and practically endorsed it. If I had demi-god status, I am sure I would not wear something as common as a Rolex - and anyway, who needs a watch that will endure almost anything when you've got a team of bodyguards to prevent it from happening to you?!! I would go for a PP, a Lange or a classy-looking vintage Zenith or JLC.

A Lange or GO would do me nicely in my spiffy PM suit
    Wear what you like.

A GMT of some description, so I don't have to ask my aide what time it is back home B-)

Frankly, it would have to be "cheap" so my electorate doesn't get into an uproar. I can imagine the headline- President Wears 200,000 Dollar Platinum Lange While Thousands Die From Starvation, etc...
