Problem solved. Went in another direction. Thank you

I'm currently without a dressy white dial watch. Deciding between these.
They are priced within $100 of each other with almost the same ETA/type movement. The Rado with an ETA and the Montblanc with a Sellita. Both customized in-house

    Rado dimensions: 43.mm x 11.8mm
DiaMaster Automatic Grande Seconde | RADO

    Montblanc dimensions: 40mm x 9.8mm

Not looking to get into a discussion about alternatives.

I'm leaning toward the Rado since its so different from anything else I own.

Just curious which you would buy and why?

Re: Rado Diamaster Grande Seconds OR Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Date?

MB cause it is aesthetically pleasing to my eyes, the Rado reminds me of a Lange 1 and I wouldn't buy either of 'em, just don't like the dial setup . . .

Rado seems from wrist shots to be enormous

I like them both, but lean toward the design of the MB. And I do find the Rado size to be a bit on the large side. I'd certainly want to try it on before buying. Otherwise, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I like them both and as long as they both fit on your wrist, then I'd say go with whichever you like best. They are both cool looking watches.

The MB for me based on looks alone. The MB would be improved IMO with batons at 12 and 6. The Asymmetry of the Rado is not my style.

Re: Rado Diamaster Grande Seconds OR Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Date?

I have not seen the Montblanc in the flesh, but I was fairly certain I was buying the Diamaster. Until I tried it on. The grey Ceramic is pretty spectacular. As per usual for Rado, the fit and finish is above it's price bracket. That is the good. Here's the bad. It is overly large and ludicrously thick for a three hand watch. It is so large compared to the 2892 inside that Rado has installed it off centre in the case. Also the size and the grey ceramic make it look an awful lot like a fashion watch. I would strongly recommend that you try it on before you buy it.

    value-wise I'd go for ultra-slim mont-blanc.
Out of this two, I'd'm still leaning towards MB, but Rado is pretty interesting looking watch.

My first impression is that the MB is more attractive. The Rado looks large and the design seems a bit unbalanced because of the overly large seconds track.

Guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the Rado. It is just a way more interesting watch. The size is genuinely concerning though, especially for a dress watch.

That MB doesn't do anything for me. Although MB has been doing great stuff lately, this model in particular is just boring looking.
