    Proportion watch-salary

    Hello watch lovers!
This time I am asking a very simple question, but with a lot of subsequence debate.
Considering your daily watch (neither your luxury watch nor your fashion watch nor your "I-only-use-it-once-a-year" watch), what is the proportion between price and your salary?
Think in your monthly salary, clean on-hand money, after taxes.

For example, if you earn U$S 2000 per month and you wear on daily basis a Bond Omega SMP Diver 300, your estimate proportion is 1.
But if you wear a Tissot LeLocle (rated at aproximatley U$S 500), your estimate proportion is 0.25.

In the other side, if you wear a clasic Rolex Datejust (some model valued in U$s 6000) the proportion is 3.

Tell us your "proportion number" and what do you think about it!

Yep. Can recall at least 2 threads on this. And, the subject is fundamentally not answerable. Every financial situation is different; everyone has different ways to spend even the disposable income.
The truth is rarely pure and never simple.

    Does not apply.

Any proportion salary guide has no business here.

Besides, you could just get Kickstarter funding and not even have a job.

The question fails to take account a member’s circumstances. Despite my abysmal salary I can spend more on a watch than a guy with a mortgage to pay and a young family to feedback who earns a lot more than me.

Is this subtle test to see if you can extract member's salary information?
    Interesting..

Besides, we are only talking about DAILY wear? (I don't have one - I rotate pretty regularly - except for 1 dressy piece and 1 G-shock).
    Not the whole collection?

If that‘s your intention you should think about posting other questions.

    Re: Proportion watch-salary

Again, I am not trying to get any information.
I am just another forum member with no hidden intentions.
I mentioned "daily wear" watch because there is sense in choosing the most expensive watch you have. If you rotate them pretty regularly, take just an average.
It's a simple game to see your tastes and opinions.
    Thank you!
