    Purchase Hand Wind movements

I want to customise my own watch, but I'm confused as to where I can get good handwind movements (preferably swiss, though Seagull and Miyota will do. Okay, any nice looking movement).

I've checked out Ofrei, but they don't have the stuff I need (didn't do a very detailed study. But a few hours on the site didn't yield much for me). I'm very close to removing the movement from one of my watches, but as of yet I'm holding out.

    Please help!

PS: Hand wind because I want the watch to be slim.

Find one in a vintage or HMT watch and use that, it will work out much cheaper than buying a new one unless its a cheap chinese movement which you probably dont want.

Sounds like fun however I think you need to define the project better. For a simple thin vintage hand wind movement a Peseux 7001 or 320 could be an excellent choice. Just find a donor watch and have the movement serviced. There are several measurements that have to be right for the case, dial, movement and hands to work together.
