What about the classic Zenith El Primero.. Versatile watch with an in house movement and classic styling. Especially dig the 1/10th however out of your specified price range..

For me, my favorite Jeans, and/or shorts watch are a BR01 46mm on the B&R rubber strap, or a Breitling SuperAvenger on croc/leather deployant, i have gotten many compliments on the breitling, and many "man that's an ugly watch" on the B&R but i don't care because I like it.

A real tough one. Your dislike of ETA makes it tough and why I am struggling with your budget. For just about £500 more you could get a used Zenith El Primero Pilot which would tick all the boxes you are looking for.

I would have suggested this if the OP didn't have 3 other Nomos'.
But still, I 2nd this suggestion as well.

I'd recommend the Dunkel model tho. The standard club model doesn't possess lume whereas the Dunkel one has a very subtle blue lume which is classy.

    Re: Quality casual watch suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions, some paticuarly good!

I like the Nomos Club, but already have one, and would like something a little more sporty but still classy if possible.

I visited the AD today and the Zenith captain was certainly too dressy and too similar to my Nomos Orion, and I certainly couldn't justify the £3200 price tag as it didn't really wow me, or at least no more so than my £1400 Orion. And anyway I certainly stocked in terms of dress watches with my Dornbluth arriving soon.

I am going to wait and take stock
of my watches and work out exactly what I need, which I think is one more casual watch. To leave me with one special watch I.e the Dornbluth, for weddings etc, two work watches and two casual watches.

However at the AD I did really like the zenith Elprimero chronograph mentioned earlier in the thread, and really surprisingly loved an IWC Pilot, even though it breaks my ETA rule, it had a real sense of quality and surprisingly I loved the style.

    Thanks for suggestions

Just get a Speedy or a Monaco and job done, you'll have plenty of options on the sales forums or other pre-owned sources with your budget.
