I am new to collection and have been reading a lot about different style of watches. Just love what watches represent (heritage, technology, art). The forums have been a GREAT source of information. I have been doing some research on the different types of movements especially between the Swiss ETAs and Japanese movements which seem to be the majority of choices for the boutique watches (which I newly discovered through these forums).
From what I can tell so far both movements are workhorses and good for any watch with the ETAs being more expensive. One of the differences Ive read about is that the ETAs have more complete rotor assemblies. Other than that seems hard to find any more detailed information. Still taking time to keep researching but thought this forum would be a great place to get any additional information, especially from those with more experience.
Thanks ahead of time.
