Question about the value of a WWII British Timor

    Hello:

Been reading the forum for awhile. Learning a lot about watches. This place turned me onto the PAM homages. I bought a MM from Manbush for, get this, $79.00 shipped and have been wearing it non-stop since. Well, after I got a new strap, that is. Keeps great time (is a mechanical with the Asian Unitas 6497) and I just love the look. Next I'm considering getting the Gruppo Gamma Ascent Supernova b/c it really is it's own watch (no trademarked crown guard, no MM and a dial design that was a prototype but never actually made)...but I digress.

My reason for posting is because I purchased this WWII British Timor from Zaf Basha a few years ago. Initially I got a lot of use out of it, but it's been sitting for quite some time as my tastes have moved toward the aforementioned larger watches. So since this watch isn't seeing any wrist time, and since I hate to see a watch like this sit in a drawer, I am contemplating selling it. I did not post this in the sales forum because I'm not sure I am going to sell. First and foremost I need to have some idea of what it is worth.

I believe that Timor's from this era are fairly common, so it may not be worth too much. Dunno. Here it is:

Size: 103.2 KBName: Timor.jpg

Size: 98.7 KBName: Timor 2.jpg
Views: 117
Size: 72.8 KB

Those are the pictures Zaf sent to me prior to purchasing.

Thanks for any help you guys/gals can provide.

    Best,

    Flat Cap
