You know how it is when you're going on a two week trip and you debate heartily over which watch(es) to bring, and finally come to a decision to bring your Kemmner Touneau and your Hamilton Khaki Chrono.
And then the Hammy starts running 4-5 minutes fast an hour.
Well, at least that's how it went down for me. Presumably it is magnetized.
This is a business trip and I have very little time during the day; I need to find a watchmaker who would be willing to run it through the de-magnetizer quickly for me (if it is more complicated a fix than this, it will have to wait until I return to Boston). I thought I would come across more watchmakers in midtown but I didn't. They all seem to be hidden within the recesses of big jewelry emporiums on 47th street. I could take it over to Tourneau but I hardly imagine that will be quick.
And suggestions where I might take it?
I guess this is one of those first-world problems.
