Is This for Real? DOXA 8 Day Watch

    Hi!
Came across this interesting 8 day Doxa. Have never seen this one before and no amount of googling have me any results. Is this for real or a well made fake?
    Help please!

Was wondering the same thing, Watched the auction for a while to see where it would end up. Couldn't come up with anything on it anywhere on-line, so now it has my curiosity up.

Re: Is This for Real? DOXA 8 Day Watch

That's not a real Doxa watch. There are so many reasons such as the fact that it looks home made, Doxa don't make square instrument style watches, the box doesn't say Doxa at all but 'Sentinel Squadren', you don't generally get 8 day movements in wristwatches (look how rare it is to get a 7 day movement like in the IWC Big Pilot and how expensive that is) etc. So all in all, there is no way that this is a Doxa watch. The only possibility is that someone has converted a Doxa pocket watch or vehicle instrument of some kind, which I doubt. So you are either getting some bizarre home made frankenwatch or more likely something that has nothing to do with Doxa but has Doxa on the dial.

Is This for Real? DOXA 8 Day Watch

I thought it was strange too!
But the outside chance that it was indeed a special military issue which came from someone's estate and probably not for civilian use made me bid.

Also Doxa did get famous for 8 day movements (automobile watches albeit) and later on dive watches. So the watch kinda made sense. I have asked the seller for some pics of the caseback. Will post once I get it.

    Let's See!

In the meantime if someone / anyone can say "Yes, I have seen that watch before and it was indeed issued for military use" you will make my day and rest of the week as well!!

I mean, I read this post below and thought it was possible that Doxa's military watch issues are not openly discussed -

Like most wratches in this style, it is a faked POS unfortunately. My guess is it has been cobbled together in Ukraine.

8 days movements in wristwatches are basically a modern thing. Several manufacturers have them. A good feature, it is!

So - this is how it ended!!
Due to the valuable feedback, I asked the seller to send me pics of the caseback and movement before the item gets shipped as I suspected it was fake.
The EBay seller was extremely co-operative and send me pics.
    FAKE!!
I requested a refund under the Refunds Policy and the seller agreed - No questions asked!!

    Enclosing snaps below!! 😅
