    Really short rant

I got a Wenger Battalion for Christmas that has stoped running. I sent it back to Wenger NA for warranty repair. I now have to send them $10.00 dollars to send it back. Why should I have to pay S&H both directions for a waranty repair?
Told you it would be short.
    Thank you,
    Dennis

I will be enclosing a letter with my $10.00 check detailing my opinion on return shipping on a warranty repair. I don't have a picture of mine, but here is one I found at kohls.com, where we bought it.

For warranty I agree they should pay for shipping it back to you. Bummer.

thats not right. other brands (albeit much more expensive ones) offer to pay both ways, and even offer you an extra strap & stuff.

what was wrong with it BTW?

I suggest you send also a letter to their corporate address - maybe a higher up can throw in some freebies to make up for the inconvenience.
    Lots of dive watches.

WTF??? You have a warranty issue and they ask you to pay for them to return your watch? Clearly not a bright or sensible business practice.

    Re: Really short rant

After rereading the warranty, it does state there is a $10.00 S&H charge. The way I was originally reading it, the charge would be for non warranty repairs which is reasonable. I am sending a check with a letter today. Who knows, maybe they will send my check back with the watch. The thing that really irritates me is that I will have almost $20.00 invested to replace a $9.00 movement that I could replace myself. I have always felt most warranties are not worth the paper they are written on and this just reinforces that opinion. I do like the watch though, and I bought it pretty cheap ($94.00 including tax) so in the end I guess it is worth the trouble and expense. Man, I'm easy aren't I!
