Hmm is there a quartz version of the Orient star classic line with white dial and blue hands? I really like the blue and white contrast and the small (38.5mm) diameter.

If you want a dressy watch with a bit of blue, the Seiko 'Cocktail time' SARB065 might tickle your fancy. It's automatic, but what are you gonna do? ;)

    It's 40mm.
    Good luck!

Since Orient has been mentioned a few times, get a Ray and a Bambino. For around $300, you'll have every occasion covered.

This watch has indeed tickled my fancy. However, after doing more watch research, I'm starting to think quartz watches are better, since they require less upkeep (even automatic watches need servicing every 5 years). So I guess I'm going to try to find a quartz version of that or the Orient star
