Recommendations for a blue dial chrono

    Hey everyone,

I am hoping to get some suggestions on a blue dial chrono, something similar to the IWC 377714 LPP (which I just got). Problem is the chrono is a little big on me... itís not ridiculous, but itís definitely borderline. I may well just end up keeping it as I love the look of it, but thought I would see if there were other similar looking watches out there that I might not be aware of. So, here are the parameters:

    - 42mm or less
    - $4-5K
    - date, doesnít have to be day date

Thatís really it, not too fussy about movement or anything.

    Appreciate any thoughts!

    Thanks

I’d take a look at some Zenith Watches in that price range. I think the JLC Master Chrono can be had around there also, or a Speedmaster. Sinn has a slick limited edition in blue also

Hm thanks, I had looked at Zenith before. I like the chronomaster 1969. Not a lot of them coming up pre-owned though, which I think is the only way I could get it in my price range.

What about if I took off the blue dial requirement, Iím thinking options open up quite a bit.

My favorite is on your wrist. The tri-color Zenith’s come in smaller sizes if you can live without the blue dial.
Rolex Datejust II, and Submariner SS no-date; Panerai 000, 328, 352, 1024; IWC 3777; Zenith El Primero; Seiko PADI Turtle and 007

Very nice. I know this sounds stupid, but it looks really blue. I love the IWC because of the subtleness of the blue dial. It really changes depending on the light etc.

But Iíll see if I can see the transocean in person.

FYI - That model is 38mm, and isn't sold new anymore, so you'd have to find a shop with stock from a year or two ago if that exists. The current Transocean chrono is a three register, and is 42 mm.

Would you consider other case shapes (since the IWC is already round)? A Tag Heuer Monaco ticks all the boxes apart from the shape.

How about the new JLC polaris chrono. The blue is decadent
