    Recommendations for a GMT

I'm looking for a good quality GMT for my next watch. I have my eye on the Kobold SMG but I'd like to know what else I should look at. I would prefer mechanical but wouldn't completely rule out quartz. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Im obviously biased, but this is a great GMT, ETA 2893-2 Elabore movement. Unique relatively new company, WUS sponsor. Excellent product at an excellent price

Ofcourse you could buy 10 of these for the price of a Kobold SMG, but i figured i'd still throw it out there.

If you´d invest for a Kobold you may consider a Rolex.

There are several good Swiss auto GMTs out there, starting with Hamilton (if you're in the US or Asia, availability is pretty thin everywhere else) then Omega and Breitling, all the way up to Rolex GMT Master II or Explorer II. If you want an alternative twin-timezone watch, Oris makes something called the Worldtimer in various guises.

I'm not familiar with any Seiko products. In its infinite widsom, Seiko UK choose only to sell quartz and Kinetic here. In fact the only automatic Seiko I've ever seen outside the US or Asia is an Orange Monster, in Brussels airport of all places.

The Breitling Colt GMT is a great bargain, especially if you can find one used.

    Not your typical GMT

Saw this the other day. I don't know anything about the quality, but it is a nice change of pace from 'standard' brands recommended.

    Obviously borrowed photo.
