Recommendations needed for sporty Diver ~$1K Limit

Hi guys. I have these two pretty awesome sporty divers:

I like them, but recently I realized that I have more than 20 watches and would like to consolidate a bit. I'm thinking about flipping these two and use the funds to buy one watch that could replace both of them. I want a colorful, sporty automatic watch with awesome lume, a rubber strap and non-proprietary lugs because I really like to change straps on these two. I don't want it to be too big, 43-44mm is great. My budget is around $1K and would like to get a clear upgrade over these two. Just as an example of what I like, probably my favorite watch for this is this Oris Aquis:

But it does have the proprietary lugs, and I already own another different Aquis and a Divers GMT, so I want to go in a different direction.
    So, two questions:

    1. Should I do this?
    2. What options are out there?

Sure , less is more sometimes :)
Oh and by the way the two that you have are an excellent value at their price points !
So with that being said I thing the 2 flips towards one in the 1k category I think you will find the upgrade in material / movement etc will be marginal ..

But this came to mind when I read your post !

    Good luck amigo

Really like the Triton, have always wanted one but have yet to pull the trigger on one. Sorry no real help on your decision, I seem to have become a purely Oris wearer here recently. I love the pvd black one you pictured, recently picked up the Titan pvd model and was torn between the one you pictured and the Titan. I really like the orange accents on the black but in the end decided on Titan because I prefer a slightly larger watch.

I get that. These two are really pretty awesome and very well spec'd, with the VSA having an ETA 2892-A2, and the Triton having a higher grade 2824 Elabore. Movement-wise, I don't think I'll do better and likely would have to "settle" with similar ETA/Sellita offerings. Objectively, I'd probably get basically the same level of watch with a different design and a more prestigious brand on the dial. Still, I want to upgrade and that TH looks pretty awesome and will be in the short list. I'm also thinking about a Doxa SUB 1200T Professional.

First thing that came to mind for me when you said colorful in this price range was the Stowa Prodiver. I own a blue dialed SS model. They've since moved to Titanium cases, with Ti bracelets supposedly to follow later this year.

A few of the current options from their website:

Nope nothing I can think of that is better than the Steinhart/VSA and colorful.

Squale 50 atmos blue. Awesome blue changes so much. Looks great on any strap and really good specs. Cool history too.
