Recommendations for a Quartz Perpetual Calendar

    NOT a G-shock...
    44mm-47mm
    non-PVD
    durable
    perpetual calendar
    non-solar/non-kinetic
    great lume is a must
Simple face... readability is very important, so I dont want alot of extra functions like world-time, chronograph etc... just day/date/time/seconds
rotating timing bezel is a big plus but not a requirement.

Price is no object... well less than say $3K.. I assume I can find something for much much less than that.

    Collection:
RGM 801A - Montblanc Twinfly Flyback Chronograph -
Omega AquaTerra GMT - 1972 Heuer Autavia Viceroy - Ball Engineer Master II Diver World Time
JeanRichard Terrascope - Longines Legend Diver(Date) - Luminox 6250 - Hamilton Intra-Matic(42mm) - Magrette Moana Pacific Professional - Oris XXL Pointer Day

My recommendation is the Tissot Tradition Perpetual Calendar, but it's a 42mm and has no lume. It is however available on a bracelet, for about $350 or less.

    Citizen Signature Perpetual Calendar Diver.

edit: oops..sorry..missed your non solar/kinetic requirement. That makes it a bit more difficult.

The size makes it tough too.

Seiko to the rescue! SNQ089. It's big, bold and eminently readable.

edit: forgot to point out the compass bezel and the timer ring under the crystal that is turned with the second crown, both bidirectional. Very nice, although the second crown on mine turns a tad too easily. Changing to a leather strap mostly solved that problem, as the watch is no longer freely resting its full mass on the top of my wrist.

There are several Seiko Perpetual Calendar watches for sale on Ebay and through various internet dealers. I am not aware of any that meet your size requirements. Chronograph.com had at one time a Seiko Perpetual Calendar diver that came in around 45mm. Truly massive looking so you might try that site.

Not bad looking at all minus the gigantic metal wing things over the top... do those come off?

They're attached with real screws, but I haven't actually tried to take them off. There seems to be similar models without the bars though, such as the SNQ043.
