Question Recommendations for Simple, Elegant White Dial Dress Watch

I'm looking for a simple dress watch, white face, silver hands & markers, with or without date in the 35mm-40mm diameter range and less pricey than something like a Grand Seiko.
I actually prefer hand-wind or quartz, but if automatic is what's available, I'll go that route. Could be vintage or new.

Any suggestions? Any pics or links would be appreciated--thanks!

Lots of options, but your description (manual/35mm/white/silver etc) made me think of the Nomos Orion.

I've been looking at these lately, from Frederique Constant Slim Line:

I second the suggestion of the Frederique Constant Slimline FC-220.

Its an automatic and cheaper then you are looking for, but I got to throw in the Visodate because I love it.
