Recommendations for a Super Legible Watch

    Hey all,

I am in the market for a new watch, looking for something hard wearing for work (I am a cop) and I need something that offers quick and accurate read-off.

My current watch is a Sinn U1, love it to bits and its super hard-wearing but the read-off can be a little iffy, I sometimes misread by an hour which is not good in my line of work.

Any recommendations for the king of read-off that costs £2,000 or less.

Thinking B&R Sports Heritage 123 but am worried about the glass dome.

    Any thoughts?

I've been looking into the Traser H3 today so this is my rugged watch of the moment.

Here are a couple I own that are pretty easily readable:

Resco Patriot (auto; different versions and dial colours available too)

Marathon JSAR (Quartz, but I think there's a similar version that's auto. Also this comes with the option of a a great bracelet or rubber - well under your budget too).

    Good luck, and stay safe.

    Cheers,
    Anthony

    Honestly? How about a G-shock?

If you really want something mechanical, how about a Damasko? A number of offerings way under your budget and they have near un-scratchable cases.

Here is my DA36 on an aftermarket strap (the stock strap is great, too, and I use it most of the time):

socrates35, gward4 and pharminator like this.

Can't go wrong with a flieger -- dial and hands, including the second hand, designed for legibility, and usually well-lumed.

I have a Laco Augsburg flieger that I like a lot. With your budget, you could go much higher-end.

When I see "super legible" and "hard wearing" I'm thinking pilot style watch, not tactical(which are usually neither of those things). Not enough criterias to make suggestion thought(mechanical or quartz, size, bracelet or strap etc.).

For quick and accurate reading you may want to look at a Suunto digital. Or one of the Casio G Shocks. Large easy to read display and there is no mistaking those numbers at a glance.
