    Repairing your own scratches..

    On stainless steel band...

    1. What grade sand paper do you use? 1500? 2000?
    2. What do you polish with afterwards?

Any suggestions for a DENT (damage with depth) as opposed to a scratch?

    Thanks

Depends on th existing finish, brushed, satin or polished?
Brushed and satin can be quickly sorted with a "scotchbrite" scouring pad.
Polished then needs a quick going over with a cape cod cloth.

I have a stainless steel Kobold SEAL. I've already put it through some abuse and am going to wait until it's really beat up before I refinish it. I'm thinking - in the future - of having Jack at IWW do a PVD or beadblast on it. Until then, the marks/scratches/etc. just give it character.
