Replacing A ETA Valjoux 7750 Movement With a Quartz One?

Hate auto movements especially noisy ones that allow you to feel the rotation, also hate that if you don't wear a watch for a few days it will all stop and have to be reset and shaked about to wake it up.

For me a good accurate quartz movement is best.

Can the internals of this watch be replaced easily with a quartz movement?...if so can anyone recommend one that will fit?

If you don't like the movement, sell the watch and buy one that's quartz. Lots of VSAs come in both versions (not sure about this one).

What he said.... Your plan would drastically lower the value of the watch, at what I can only imagine would be a colossal expense in labor.

I never took no Economics, but that don't seem to be too smart.

You want a quartz chrono, buy a quartz chrono. Victorinox make plenty of them and so do tons of other manufacturers. Lumi-nox and Tag Heuer will both have some very similar options and if you search you can find others at different price points.

I have a good idea... hold onto that watch. Then stay on this website for a few months and enjoy learning about all kinds of watches. Check out the "What are you wearing today" posts. Check out the posts where people ask This or That... Maybe go to the Quartz forums. Just learn and enjoy.
Maybe in a few months you will say, "This is actually a cool watch I have." Maybe you won't, and then you can sell it on the seller's forum.
    I say wait it out.

Your idea sounds like buying a sports car with a screaming high maintenance engine in it, just to replace it with a cheap electric motor from your lawn mower or something :) Anyway, a quick look at Ronda chrono quartz movements shows they have nothing that has the 7750 characteristics, so I think it will be hard to find such a thing , let alone match all the dial position and stem sizes on the Victorinox.

All of the Alpnach series have automatic movements; changing it to quartz isn't practical. If you want a similar VSA style in quartz, you'll need to look at something like the Infantry Vintage Chronograph. One definite advantage for you would be cost - based on list prices, you could easily purchase two Infantry Vintage Chronos with what you paid for the Alpnach and have money left over.

This doesn't seem like a good idea. I think you'd be better off just buying a different watch, one with a quartz movement.
