I have an early 70's vintage Bulova which I have owned since new and given to me in my early teens by my late mother. It won't run for more than a couple days with a new battery (was stashed in a drawer for 20 years or so). I know it probably does not make financial sense to repair but has sentimental value and looks nearly new. That being said, can anyone recommend a good repair shop in NYC? I get into the city weekly and would like a shop that will do an honest repair with an movement or parts as original (don;t want a Frankenwatch).
I am open to suggestions elsewhere to ship for repair if there are folks known to do honest work on this type of watch. Appreciate any insight.
