No Autodromo Prototipo? For shame! Lots of great chronographs are quartz for practical/size/cost reasons.

No Rolexes in that list... they haven't done quartz recently.
Choose a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life because that field isn't hiring.

Some nice looking watches in the article but I'll give the Rolex a miss thanks as I wasn't exactly enamoured with them when they were in the shops and I find that my feelings towards them haven't over the years.

The vintage Omega Quartz Marine Chronometer looks better than all of them.

What do you mean "return"? 98% of watches sold are quartz

I actually searched for a Rolex 5100 in white gold for a while. All I ever saw was yellow gold and when the prices topped 10K my interest took a nose dive.

All that talk of Seiko introducing the first quartz watch and no Seiko on the list? Blasphemy! :p

When Seiko introduced the world to the first quartz wristwatch, the Astron, on Christmas day in 1969, it was a gift of mixed blessings. On the one hand, we were given incredibly simple, accurate and reliable timekeeping technology that promised top performance at an affordable price.
Also, not sure what affordable means to this writer, but the original Astron cost as much as a mid-size car at the time! Maybe he's a member on the high-end forum here? ;)

In all seriousness, not a bad list, but it should definitely at least have featured one Seiko in there. In my opinion, they're still the king of quartz:

not only that... but the swiss did the first watch two years before. and actual quartz time keeping was invented in 1880

Is it me or does that Rolex look like a cheap knockoff?
