    Revue Thommen

I saw one of these watches for sale and I like it. I did some research and it is a Swiss company. But are they any good? When I searched the name nothing came up on the forum?

which means that is not known => I would stay away from it.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I did a forum wide search and came up with 14 pages of threads with Revue Thommen in the title. Admittedly that included the sales forum. One example:

    https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/revu...ay-658854.html

In my view the brand has a good reputation although I personally prefer their older models.

I have a Revue Thommen quartz chrono in titanium - good, reliable watch with a double chronograph function.

Also I handled their Cricket collection - it was pretty nice, especially the 38mm one.

Used to be more well-known. Going on 15 years ago they were quite popular on the watch forums, the watches being of good quality and attractive design. Their Revue-Sports 30s & 50s and Airspeed models were probably the most popular. I wouldn't hesitate getting one of those older watches in good condition at the right price. I haven't heard a lot from the brand of more recent years and so couldn't comment on what they are producing now.

Which watch are you looking at? The brand has a long history. For example I'm looking at a Revue from the 1940's. And the retro styled Sport 30 and Sport 50 watches were released 15+ years ago.

Revue Thommen are good watches but their name has suffered offer the last years. That being said, if you can get one of them on the incredible sales that gemnation or Touch of modern sometimes offer they are good watches for the price. Just never buy one for MSRP or close to that.

Yep, I have the same feeling. They used to make nice watches, but I think the company has changed hands, so I don't know what they're like now. They had a claim to the Cricket alarm watches through some buying/selling back in time.

I typed in the name in the main forum and nothing came back. I am on my phone on tap talk maybe that's why. Thanks for your input
