And the title to the video is pure irony, 'No one expected this from Rolex'

I don't particularly care for Rolexes, but let's be honest here: if you magnify any mass-produced item sufficiently, you'll find stuff like this. If I can't see it with the naked eye, it wouldn't bother me.

True, but I'll bet that would be visible to the naked eye.
And for almost 50 Large, it had effing better be perfect!
I loupe every watch I buy under 10x, regardless of price.
My $500 Seiko has minor blemishes on a few of the hour markers that aren't visible to the naked eye.
    That I can live with.
My $6500 Rolex Explorer I is perfect. If it had the same blemishes as the Seiko, I'd have never purchased it.
I louped a brand new Submariner no date. Turned out it had a blemish on one of the hands.
I told the salesman I didn't want it.
Almost comically, he immediately offered me like $500 off.
    Didn't buy it.
I use the sliding scale in my watch evaluations!
I'll bet most of you also do to some degree.

No. I use my eyes not 10x loupe.

The defect is quite obvious without loupe. One can see it at distance. I wouldn't expect this from Rolex. Although I also wouldn't expect Rolex to be so careless with their inventory to let AD's sell them en masse to scalpers, grey dealers and speculators.
I know that people will buy a Rolex with QC defects, and pay far over MSRP for it today.
    Best Regards,

I noticed that while watching the video :P Wondered when I'd find a thread about it on here.

Watchfinder has excellent close up footage of all sorts of pieces, I almost suspect they gave us that shot on purpose.

FWIW the dial on it is pretty darn impressive looking even without knowing what it's made of.

Look at the letters below ROLEX.

    I personally wouldn't buy it.

On almost everyone of their videos i find a flaw on one the dials. Some much more expensive than Rolex.

I find it amusing that people always want to pick on Rolex, as if they are the end all for quality and such. Well, they aren’t. Do they make nice quality watches? Yes. Are they perfect. No. BTW I wouldn’t buy that watch. To me that’s unacceptable. I was spoiled by a $2k Grand Seiko that I went over with a loupe several times and couldn’t find a defect.
