I guess that it was made sometime between 1979 and 2006.
How many and why? Your guess is as good as mine! Maybe a reward to good citizens?
It would be nice to see a pic!

Understeer is when you hit the wall with your front end. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with your rear end. Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall. Torque is how far you move the wall.

Those watches pop up on ebay regulary. It was a PLB production by Favre-Leuba (try google).

BTW: I had to delete some posts. Please behave and read the rules & guidelines prior to posting. Thank you. Happy New Year.

I've seen various Saddam watches on ebay over the years. They range from cheapo copies (nothing to do with the then Iraq regime) through plated run of the mill watches, right up to solid gold mega bucks hi-end. I suppose the watch you were gifted depended on how important you were. There are often Saudi, Qatar or Jordanian sourced watches that come up on ebay, there appears to be an avid collectors market for these. They normally have the countries official logo and sometimes the name of the current head of state. The King Hussein watches (Jordan) are probably the most common. I collected these types of watches a few years back, heres a few i held onto

    Sarcar 18ct Glorium (Saudi)

    Eterna Galaxis (Qatar)

    Rolex Cellini (Saudi-King Fahd)

    Re: Saddam Hussein Favre-Leuba

I was reading this old thread and decided to add my latest "presidential" watch to the list. This one is from high end Swiss maker Gubelin, mechanical wind, solid 18ct white gold and so awful my wife says she will not go anywhere with me if i wear it
Anybody able to put a name to the face ?
