    Scratched Case

Hello, this is my first post but it's also to get some opinions/recommendations. Earlier this month I bought a Raymond Weil Tradition gold-tone watch. It didn't come with the original metal bracelet but it was in pristine condition on a black aftermarket leather strap and was priced at an offer I couldn't resist. I wear this to work in a shirt and tie atmosphere so I didn't think I would be too rough on it but alas I scratched it already. Now no one will ever notice it but me but it still makes me upset when I see it. That being said, is there any way I can get this re gold plated or refinished or anything? I've even looked up this watch on eBay for parts to see if I can only find the case. Or even toying the idea of having a 14k gold case made to fit this watch and just transfer the movement to that. Or am I just stuck with it? Thanks!

That will patina/age nicely to a point it will blend in with the rest of the character marks already on the case. The view is not worth the climb to get that repaired IMO.

As time goes by it will gain more character.
Only a watch that never leaves the box will stay perfect.
    Wear it and enjoy it.

Wuischpard & Son repaired my 14K King Seiko case that was in pretty bad shape.

I agree with the others here supporting this comment... I feel your pain, but time heals all wounds (yes, even with watches)

Welcome to the forums! It might be difficult to repair in a cosmetically appealing and cost effective way given the value of the watch. Just view them as character marks. Enjoy!

I'm 42, I figure in a few years, I won't be able to see the scratches without reading glasses...so whatever.
