Searched & can't find a consensus - how long before service required?

I'm fairly new to auto watches, and have read tons of opinions about servicing them. If kept on a winder, is it reasonable to expect a watch to go 10 years without servicing? I'm not worried about my watches outlasting me, and I'm not an accuracy freak. If it's within a few minutes of the correct time I'm ok. If I need accuracy I'll go to one of my atomic solar watches (Eco Drive or G Shock, depending on the occasion). My guess is that if I can squeeze 10 years out of an affordable (under $750) watch I'll probably replace it instead of servicing.

    Thanks!

A decent complete service will cost at least $350. I personally couldn't rationalize paying that for a $750 watch. I'd just wear the watch til it dies, then treat myself to something new.
