Original photo looks like a factory rendering and seems to be a matte finish. So it's difficult for me to see much change. Glad you like the results.

Do you disassemble the watch to do this? I was considering trying to brush the case on my Avenger, but I'm not sure how to deal with the area around the crown and crown guard, bezel, etc.

I didn't disassemble it. I just put some masking tape over the crystal and brushed the crown as well

Looks nice and it is pretty easy to do as long as you are careful.

I have brushed out a bunch of my "blingy" watches and have been very happy with the results.

If the watch has a sapphire crystal, then one way to get a circular brushed pattern on the bezel is to tape a thumb tack to the center of the crystal, and stick a green Scotch Brite pad through it, and then just rotate the case about the thumb tack.

Nicely done! The brushed finish looks much better.
