Is this Seiko MM 300 Worth It? First buying used, I think I pulled the trigger too soon

    Hi guys,

This is my first post on this forum and I am trying to get your honest opinion on a recent purchase I made.

Watch: SEIKO Marine Master Professional 300M Diver Automatic SBDX017
Originally purchased in 2015, NO papers

    Price: $1250

I have been eyeing this piece for sometime now. Today I finally pulled the trigger when a private seller is offering a used one.
I have no experience in dealing with used watches before. So here I am, regretting that I may have pulled the trigger too soon.

    Questions:

    1. Is this a mistake? Is the price ok given the condition the watches is in?
    2. What are the steps I should go through once the watch arrives? Which areas should I focus on to check the quality of the watch?

    Thank you guys!
    Naien

That seems super cheap for an SBDX017.

Watch looks great, I wouldn't worry about it too much, just enjoy the piece. Once you receive it, go over it thoroughly to identify any scratches, dents and scuffs. You can download an app on your phone to track the watch's accuracy to test out the movement. Other than that, you should be fine. I hope you enjoy it!

Definitely on the lower end of the pricing, but it's not dirt cheap in my opinion. Having said that, you should expect it to not be in mint condition.

Congrats! Price seems reasonable for a 2yr old well loved MM300 with no papers & also assuming no rubber strap & manuals.

Don’t forget to post a lume shot!

Looks great to me. Have my eye on those as well. Give it a good look when you get it, put it on, if all is well, don’t look back.

You are right, no rubber strap and papers. I got so worried that I overpaid big time there.
