Sell Sub LV to get IWC3717 or Omega PO + SMP?

I recently bought a BNIB Sub LV from my AD.

I was still on the fence regarding which way to go when the AD called to say it had arrived.
I popped along and ended up buying it, more because it was "there" than because I'd really made up my mind.
It was a case of seeing a watch there and then that I could buy and have NOW vs possibly two watches that were not there and I coul'nt have yet.
On reflection I'm not sure if I made a mistake and am now thinking of putting it up for sale without even wearing it (except for sizing the bracelet) After nearly a week I've not worn it and I've not even removed the plastic film fom the sides and back of the watch! What does that tell you?
I have on order for it a black bezel insert and an AR coated cyclops (as on the new ceramic bezelled Rolexs' such as the GMTIIc and the newer Sub ceramics) These can be fitted or just left for when I want them fitted by my AD.

I realise that regarding re-sale the Sub wins hands down but I want a watch or watches that I'll wear and enjoy rather than a safe queen.

I like the PO and also the IWC 3717.
If I got the 3717 I'd not be able to get a lot else and if I went for the PO I'd be able to get another Omega etc with the change!
I also regret selling my Breitling Blackbird so may look at another one of them?

    What would YOU do?

    Mac.

There are a lot of nice watches out there.
Try them all and keep the one you like more. (the one that makes you smile).
I'd keep the Rolex, not because it's better, but because i really like it.
The PO has the proportions wrong because it is too thick and not tall enough.
The Seamaster 300 is beautiful, but if you already have an LV.
The Blackbird is waaaaaay to busy and thick.
I (as you can tell) dislike thick watches.

sounds like your heart just isn't into the sub, find her a new home where she will get the love she deserves while you take the time to find your hearts desire.
sell the sub and let your heart lead the way (patiently) to avoid a repeat of the situation.
    good luck!

If you ask me, I would get rid of Sub LV, Get a pre loved 3717 AND Pre loved sub no date 14060M.
(Approximately $6K total if you hang around.)

    Case closed

Of course, it is just me as I would probably never buy brand new watch.

Thanks but we're not exactly tripping over pre-owned 3717's over here and I don't like watches without a date, never have.
However the Sub LV has now gone so it's back to the drawing board!
If I could have a pre-owned 3717 AND a PO for example then I'd jump at the chance but in the absence of a nice condition pre-owned 3717 the cash doesn't stack up
I'm now considering either another Blackbird or a PO + ?

Thanks for all the replies guys.

You will probably have to go internet route:
    http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=5017853&rid=0
Asking $3800 AND Its on Bracelet!!

    http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=5017453&rid=0
    This PO is $2K

$5800 together.. Your problem solved. :)

Of course, do NOT just blindly buy from the above link, I am saying that if you look around, bargains are to be had. Buy the seller not the watch. (good looking watch helps though..)

    Good luck on your hunt!
