Shop NBC invicta buyer calls in about customer service.

Got a chuckle out of this today. So I was feeding my son and Invicta was on shop NBC so I left it on for some background noise. Well they were selling the subaquanoma or something like that touting the hand assembly and hand finishing.....I know right.....anyways this caller from California chimes in and says his strap broke on his subaquanoma and would like invicta to replace it.

Invicta guy: I recommend you call our 800 customer service number and they can set you up with that.

Caller: ahhh yea they told me it would take 6 months....

    Invicta guy: oh really...

Invicta guy: ah ah well then if you want to wear it then you need to put a strap on it

Caller: yea I like my watch I want to wear it now.

Invicta guy: ah ah well thanks for the call and for other customers that have questions like this need to call the 800 number for customer service and not shop NBC, we don't have accessories and things lie that

Oh man the awkwardness was awesome!!! I just thought you all would get a kick out of this.

Very rude of the caller to expect a strap replaced in less than 6 months.
I assume they're made from Pegasus leather or something right?
That call screener will catch "heck" I bet.

That could have been handled more skillfully by the invicta rep. When pressed he could have simply have the caller placed on hold, request his personal information with his assurance that he would personally look into the matter.
You seem clueless when you give the appearance that your customers are not worthy of some extra effort on your part!

    Just a thought....,

Maybe you could help me understand just why you posted that exchange. And why some clown trying to talk Invicta out of a free strap is awesome and apparently funny. Assuming that happened and is verbatim I think the sales people handled it reasonably well.

Six months for a leather strap? Lol, I'll bet my Omega's bracelet was made and polished in under 2 days.

Yes, got in before the thread is closed.

I think it's funny. Although I wouldn't buy an invicta. If I owned one, it would possibly be less funny.

There could be a whole forum dedicated to SNBC shows here and it would get decent traffic.

No doubt some on that forum could talk for hours about their SNBC bargains like George Foreman grills, vegetable choppers and imitation diamond rings. And I am certain that some forum participants would be the same individuals who feel the irrestible urge to provide negative feedback for Invicta watches they have never owned.

Poor, poor Invicta. Such a noble company besieged by us bullies.
