    Should I?...

I'm a bit torn, I have had my eye on a Panerai (specifically the 510) for a while now but would need to shake a piece in the collection to afford the move. The piece in debating on selling is my Grand Seiko Snowflake. Hasn't gotten much wear for the past few months and I know they are in pretty big demand being discontinued but that also means I would have a hard time getting another one if I had sellers remorse.

I welcome your thoughts on what you would do and any suggestions.

    Thanks!

If you're not wearing it, you're not wearing it. That's what I'm struggling with on a few pieces in my collection. Just because I like it, doesn't mean it's doing me any good in the closet.

    Re: Should I?...

Not wearing + high value = sell (in my world). That said, I wish I hadn't sold my Seiko 6105 -- I wish I had it still and they're a lot more expensive now. So no perfect answer here.

I’d far prefer the snowflake. But if it’s not getting worn, then sell it for sure.

Well, if you are not bonding with the GS Snowflake, then maybe it is time to move on and sell it at put the proceeds towards the Panerai 510.

As for "buyer's remorse", if you are bonding with your Panerai than you should not have to worry about selling the GS Snowflake.

    Re: Should I?...

I see no problem to sell a watch you don't wear to finance another one. I guess is part of the hobby. And the fact the watch is in high demand is only positive for the purpose to sell it. So why not?

To me, it's all about wrist time. Next decider would be how well you will do with the sale. So, low wrist time + good sale value = sell.

    Re: Should I?...

If you are not wearing it often, meaning you don't love it as much as you think you do. Or its style doesn't suite well with fashion. Keeping it in your collection you will not benefit much. It will still be a good piece that just sit in the box. Yes, I will sell the snowflake for Panerai for you. Although I am not a fan of Panerai.
