Should I buy a watch winder?

Unfortunately the expansion of my watch collection has led me to not wearing my seiko kinetic as often. As a result the watch looses a bit of charge after a week or so and I like having a watch that I don't have to worry about dying on me. Recently I saw a good deal on a watch winder at a store called Bombay, I don't know much about the winders or if they even work so I was hoping someone could give me some feedback on them. Thanks

Don't get those. I've bought many winders over the years but the best deal (quality, reliability, price) is this:

I've heard it's only worth it for perpetual calendars.

Depends on the size of your automatic watches collection. Trust me...

Money can't buy you happiness. But it can buy watches.

    Don't buy a winder?
    What's with that? I have 6 autos so winders aren't a luxury - they're a necessity.
I have 3 winders who do a pretty good job. All can be adjusted to run both clock
wise and counter clockwise. Depending on intracacies of the watches.
Nope! Gotta have winders in my opinion.Your opinion? Jury is out on that one,

I think this is a question of how much wrist time, and how often, each piece is going to get; that is to say, "how long between drinks" for each of your autos?

Are you thinking about getting a winder for your kinetic Seiko? Use your hand instead, I'm currently charging my Seiko Kinetic Direct Drive with my hand, been doing it for 30 mins, good exercise before bed.

Re: Should I buy a watch winder?

As far as I'm aware, a traditional watch winder doesn't work for a Seiko Kinetic. They're really only useful for perpetual calendars.
    Current Collection:
Rotary, Adina, Emporio Armani, Loyal, Swatch, Ingersoll, Cyma and others...

    The Wanted List:
    Citizen NB0030-01A

    Realistically Achievable Grails:
    Breguet 5817 Marine Big Date
    Grand Seiko STGR003

    Holy Grails:
    Breguet 5617 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph
